Forests Grow in Iceland

If you plant a tree, you get a tree. If you get a thousand people to plant trees, you get a forest.
Iceland is making fantastic progress in afforestation. It's a joy to watch and participate in.
We are growing new forests on deforested and terribly degraded lands. Trees are good ad sequestering carbon, making soil and creating ecosystems.

Ef þú gróðursetur tré, færðu tré. Ef þú færð þúsund manns til að gróðursetja tré, færðu skóg.
Stórir hlutir eru að gerast í nýskógrækt á Íslandi. Það er unun á að horfa og taka þátt í.
Við ræktum nýja skóga á mjög illa förnu landi þar sem skógum hefur verið eytt. Tré eru góð í að binda kolefni, búa til jarðveg og skapa vistkerfi.
